Fall Anime Season 2009 Preview Guide V2
I know some of you guys have been waiting for a updated list that has the dates of the anime releases and maybe some more info about these new series showing up this season. This is a much more updated version of the Preview guide that I released last month, which was basically released to introduce you to some of the new shows. However this version of the preview guide will include much more information than the last one including any trailers that happen to be out at the time of this Guides release. A new addition to this Guide would be a why you would watch it section to go along with the other couple of sections. Also here is the basic layout for the preview it will be the picture of the anime first followed by the title then there will be a trailer if there happens to be one. Then I shall have these in this order air date, number of episodes, length of episodes, alternate title, Synopsis, and the why you should watch that anime section. The why you should watch it is just a few reasons why you should watch it and it in no way shape or form but most of the reasons are just basic reasons so follow them at your own discretion. So before the guide truly begins here is the Discussion page in the forum so get to discussing all that there is that you wish to discuss. Trapeze
Air Date: Oct 15, 2009
Number of Episodes: 11
Length of Episodes: 20 min. per episode
Alternate Title: Sky Swing
Synopsis: Irabu Ichiro is an eccentric psychiatrist. Patients, who visit him to have a counseling, are perplexed with his weird behavior.
Why you would watch: Honestly I don’t know too much about the show as there little to no information available besides the fact that its being produced by Toei Animation and the name of the director. The director is Kenji Nakamura who has worked on Mononoke and Ayakashi which both have had some very unique art styles. So the main reason you should watch this show is to see how Trapeze works with the interesting art direction its destined to receive.
Armed Librarians
Air Date: Oct 2, 2009
Number of Episodes: Unknown
Length of Episodes: 20 min. per episode
Alternate Title: Tatakau Shisho - The Book of Bantorra
Synopsis: In a world where dead people turn into books and are stored in the Bantorra Library where anyone who reads a book can learn their past. Bantorra Library is maintained by Armed Librarians who wield psychic powers and their enemy is a religious society known as Sindeki Kyoudan.
Why you would watch: Armed Librarians is also another anime that is basically a mystery all that is known about Armed Librarians is the production company which is David Production and the name of the band doing the theme song. To be honest I have never heard of David Production so I did a little bit of research to see what else they have put out. I only found two anime that they have released released a total of 2 shows which is Dogs: bullets and carnage Ristorante Paradiso but they were only formed just recently. Those two were just the shows they produced all by themselves however they assisted with the following anime Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2, Soul Eater, Inazuma Eleven, and Kuroshitsuji. I personally Liked several of those series but some of them I have never heard of so I think that we may be safe with David Production animating Armed Librarians. Also the band that’s doing the theme song is Ali Project which has done several good songs so I am hoping that they do a good job with the opening or ending theme with Armed Librarians. With the given knowledge on this series I would say you should watch it because the animation quality looks good and it looks to be full of action.
Darker than Black: Comet of Gemini
Air Date: Oct, 8 2009
Number of Episodes: Unknown
Length of Episodes: 24 min. per episode
Alternate Title: Darker than BLACK - Ryuusei no Gemini
Synopsis:In the sequel, Hei and Yin are now on the run after betraying the Syndicate in the previous season. After leaving Japan, Hei encounters Suou Pavlichenko, a 13 year old Eurasian girl who becomes embroiled in the war and politics of the various factions and Contractors vying for power. Meanwhile, Hell’s Gate remains standing in Tokyo, after Hei’s efforts to stop the Saturn Ring anti-Gate particle weapon from activating. Although Contractors are safe from the danger of having their existences erased, this does not prevent new and old Contractors from abusing their powers. As Misaki Kirihara and her team in the Public Security Bureau deal with the increasing Contractor cases, she also has to keep the Syndicate at bay, who has major positions in the Japanese police and intelligence bureaus around the world. The storyline setting primarily takes place in both Japan and Russia.
Why you would watch: To be honest this one is a fairly simple answer if you want action and seen the first season of Darker than Black you better be watching this series.
A Certain Scientific Railgun
Air Date: Oct 2, 2009
Number of Episodes: Unknown
Length of Episodes: 20 min. per episode
Alternate Title: Toaru Kagaku no Rail Gun or To-aru Kagaku no Rail Gun

Meet the civilian protagonist Mikoto and her friend Kuroko, maintainers of peace and order in the University district. Kuroko is a member of ‘Judgement’. A Spin off of To Aru Majutsu no Index
Why you would watch: If you like action with a good mix with comedy then you will probably like this show. It is also a good way to waste time till To Aru Majutsu No Index season 2 comes out.
Letter Bee
Air Date: Oct 3, 2009
Number of Episodes: Unknown
Length of Episodes: 20 min. per episode
Alternate Title: Tegami Bachi
Synopsis: Gauche is a governmental employee, given the task to deliver any letter to it’s destination. Meeting a young boy who is the letter to be delivered, Gauche makes friends with Lag and inspires him to take up the job. Five years later, Lag Seeing finally becomes his dream, that of a Letter Bee. However, the one who inspired him has gone missing and only there does the mystery start.
Why you would watch: Alright I honestly don’t know much about Letter Bee except that its based on a manga which is commonly called Tegami Bachi. I am going to assume that its going to be produced by Studio Pierrot because they were the ones who worked on the Letter Bee special that came out last year. So the only thing I can tell you is you will want to watch this series if you read the manga or you are bored and you want to know what Letter bee is about.
A Romance of Three Kingdoms
Air Date: Oct 2009
Number of Episodes: 52
Length of Episodes: 20 min. per episode
Alternate Title: Sangoku Engi
Synopsis: “Chinese-Japanese anime adaptation of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms novel classic”
Why you would watch: I am going to put it honestly the only reason you would want to watch this would be for educational purposes because from what I have seen the animation looks like crap. The only thing I can judge this show on is the few pictures that are available since there is almost no information about this series out there.
Sacred Blacksmith
Air Date: Oct 3, 2009
Number of Episodes: Unknown
Length of Episodes: 20 min. per episode
Alternate Title: Seiken no Blacksmith
Synopsis: Once upon a time, there was a tragic war, in which the power of the devils was involved. After the war, the devils’ power was banned and the world was restored to peace. Cecily Campbell is a knight, who has been looking for a blacksmith to repair her old sword given by her father. One day, she saw a man fighting with a ruffian who used the tabooed devil’s power. The man defeated him with one blow of his weirdly shaped sword. The man turned out to be a blacksmith called Luke. The fateful encounter was the beginning of the adventure.
Why you would watch: Alright this one might be more interesting than you first think mainly because its from the Manglobe production studio. Manglobe was the production company that worked on these series Samurai Champloo, Ergo Proxy, and Michiko to Hatchin ; two of those series are personal favorites of mine so I cant doubt Manglobe’s potentially awesome show. Also the general plot from what I can tell from the synopsis sounds pretty intriguing as it has magic, sword fights, ecchi, and a tragic war … Yes I know that last one was just thrown in there for the hell of it but honestly the reason for watching this series is the Production studio which has done created some really impressive anime.
Fairy Tail
Air Date: Oct 6, 2009
Number of Episodes: unknown
Length of Episodes: 20 min. per episode
Alternate Title: No Alternate Title
Synopsis: Lucy is a 17-year-old girl, who wants to be a full-fledged mage. One day when visiting Harujion Town, she meets Natsu, a young man who gets sick easily by any type of transportation. But Natsu isnt just any ordinary kid, he’s a member of one of the world’s most (in)famous mage guilds: Fairy Tail.
Why you would watch: Watch this show if you read the manga and is currently drooling over the fact that there will be a anime coming out soon. Also Fairy Tail is being created by two production studios A-1 Pictures Inc and Satelight and those two production studios make up about 40% of my favorite anime of the last couple seasons. So I wouldn’t doubt the power of those two studios working together to create fairy tail so I will have to check it out just to see what those two companies are bringing together.
Kobato
Air Date: Oct 6, 2009
Number of Episodes: 24
Length of Episodes: 20 min. per episode
Alternate Title: No Alternate Title
Synopsis: Kobato is sweet and perky girl, but also extremely naive about the world around her. She has a “mission”, which is to fill a mysterious bottle of hers with the suffering from people’s hearts so her wish to go a certain place that she desires to go can be granted. However, she must not fall in love with a particular boy she works with and whose heart she must heal.
Why you would watch: Kobato is the latest Clamp title designed to steal your soul with cute characters doing cute things while at the same time actually not being 100% cute. I know that makes almost no sense but unfortunately I have no idea why I actually like clamp whether it be the good story or the amazing artwork so this is a must watch for clamp fans. Since I brought production companies into all the other shows I should go ahead and inform you that Kobato is being produced by Madhouse Studios, CLAMP, and NHK. Thats 3 amazing companies working on this show so I am going to go ahead and say that this series will be impressive. I cant really say for certain though since I am not a psychic but I do like those companies for the most part so I am putting my money on it being pretty good.
Kimi no Todoke
Air Date: Oct 6, 2009
Number of Episodes: Unknown
Length of Episodes: 20 min. per episode
Alternate Title: Reaching You or Kimi ni Todoke
Synopsis: This story is centered around a girl named Kuronuma Sawako who is nicknamed Sadako (ghost girl from “The Ring”) by her classmates because of her scary face and demeanor. She greatly admires Kazehaya-kun from afar, he is “100% refreshing” and is able to draw in people with his personality. Unlike her facial expressions she yearns to make friends and live as a normal student. Gradually she starts affects those around her, including Kazehaya-kun..
Why you would watch: You will watch this if you like the seasonal love story anime that spring up to make all the action junkies mad and all the girls happy. Will this show appeal to males there’s a possibility that it could appeal to the male audience but I am doubtful since most red blooded males are looking for 2 things boobs and explosions. I know I know most males dont just want boobs and explosions but then again you cant say that they aren’t entertaining. Another useful thing to know about this show is that its a Production IG anime which tells me that it will probably have good visuals.
Sasameki Koto

Ushio also has a liking to the love between girls, but she hasn’t noticed Sumika’s feeling and always been refused by other girls.
Why you would watch: The only word you need to know when it comes to this series is Yuri.If you like yuri then you will probably love this series however that is about all I can tell you about this series.
Winter Sonata

Number of Episodes: 26
Length of Episodes: 20 min. per episode
Alternate Title: No Alternate Title
Synopsis: Airing 2009. Based on the Korean drama television series about the love between two childhood friends and the tragic events that happen. The drama was a huge hit in Japan.
Why you would watch: Watch this series if you watched the Korean drama that this was based on and also watch this if you like love stories. A interesting tidbit about this series is that 23 members of the original cast of the Korean drama will be voicing characters so that’s kinda cool if you cared about that type of thing.
Nyan Koi!
Air Date: Oct 1, 2009
Number of Episodes: Unknown
Length of Episodes: 20 min. per episode
Alternate Title: Nyankoi
Synopsis: Junpei Kōsaka is a second-year high school student who despises cats and has an allergy to them. It just so happens that his high school crush is Kaede Mizuno, a girl who adores cats. He finds he can now understand what cats are saying, including his family’s own ill-tempered cat, Nyamusasu. However, if he does not grant 100 wishes from cats, he will turn into a cat himself.
Why you would watch: I would say that you would like to watch this if you like ecchi and cats because that’s probably what this series is all about. The production company is AIC who have produced shows such as Ah My Goddess and well there’s just too many to list I just put the first one I seen as a example of what they have animated.

Number of Episodes: Unknown
Length of Episodes: 24 min. per episode

Kampfer

A stuffed tiger “Harakiri Tora” gains a life and tells him to fight as a female psychic fighter “Kämpfer”. Having no idea about what’s going on, Natsuru is involved in the battles against other Kämpfers.
Why you would watch: You will want to watch this series if you ever wanted to see a guy transform into a girl to fight more girls all of which has some sort of power or unique skill. Kampfer is produced by Nomad which has brought all sorts of anime but mainly stuff like Ouran Host club and stuff very similar to that.
Heaven’s Lost Property
Air Date: Oct 4, 2009

Later that night, while waiting under the cherry trees for Sugita and Sohara, his childhood friend, an angel, comes flying down.
Why you would watch: You will watch this series if you want to watch a extremely ecchi anime in fact there is a good chance that this might be the most ecchi series out of the new anime season. I mean if they have to take out a episode because its too dangerous for tv that probably gives you a pretty good indication of how much ecchiness will be in this series.
Seitokai no Ichizon
Air Date: Oct 2, 2009
Number of Episodes: Unknown

Alternate Title: It’s Student Council’s Judgement

The members of the student council of Hekiyou Gakuen are chosen by a popularity vote. As a result, all the members are cute girls except for Sugizaki Ken, who studied hard to enter the council. This novel is about the endless chattering of the members with full of parodies of “The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya”, “Dragon Ball” etc.
Why you would watch: You will watch this series if you liked Lucky star and stuff that makes fun of other series because from what I can tell thats what this series will be all about. However you cant judge this book by its strange looking cover since its produced by Studio Deen who have actually created some of my favorite series mainly Fate/Stay Night.
Queen’s Blade: Heir to the Throne
Air Date: Sep 24, 2009
Number of Episodes: Unknown
Length of Episodes: 24 min. per episode

Why you would watch: One word Boobies because that’s about all this show has going for it in my books because the last season wasn’t too impressive to me.
Shin Koihime Musou
Air Date: Oct 5, 2009
Number of Episodes: Unknown
Length of Episodes: 20 min. per episode
Alternate Title: Shin Koihime†Musō, Shin Koihime Musou
Synopsis: A television commercial from Marvelous Entertainment has announced that an anime has been green-lit for BaseSon’s Shin Koihime†Musō: Otome Ryōran Sangokushi Engi adult adventure game for personal computers. The game is spinoff from the Koihime†Musō: Doki—Otome Darake no Sangokushi Engi game, which has already been adapted into a television anime series and a video anime. The franchise re-imagines the classic Chinese historical novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms (Sangokushi) as a “moe (fiery), moe (preciously cute) action love comedy” with an almost all-female cast. The Shin Koihime†Musō game was just released in Japan on December 26. The same Romance of the Three Kingdoms novel also inspired KOEI’s game franchise of the same name, KOEI’s Dynasty Warriors (Shin Sangoku Musō) spinoffs, and dozens of anime and manga of varying historical accuracy.
Why you would watch: You would want to watch this if you were a fan of Dynasty Warriors but you were thinking to yourself gee I wish that all the characters were female. Honestly I might be surprised by this series because the production companies that are working on this show have put out some pretty weird stuff such as School Days and they have also put out Air Gear so I am not 100% sure if I should be wanting to watch this show or not yet.
Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu: Purezza
Air Date: Oct 5, 2009
Number of Episodes: Unknown
Length of Episodes: 20 min. per episode
Alternate Title: Haruka Nogizaka’s Secret: Purity
Synopsis: Prequel to Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu
Why you would watch: Honestly I am stumped as I have not watched the other series and there is no real Synopsis about what this prequel is about. I guess I would say that you will want to watch it if you have watched the other series as this will probably fill in blanks to some stuff that happened in that series.
Yumeiro Patissiere
Air Date: Oct 4, 2009
Number of Episodes: Unknown
Length of Episodes: 20 min. per episode
Alternate Title: Yumeiro Pâtissière, Yume-Iro Pâtissière, Yume-Iro Patissiere, Dream-Colored Pastry Chef, Yumeiro Pâtissier, Yumeiro Patissier
Synopsis: The story centers on a 14-year-old girl named Ichigo Amano who wants to be a pâtissière (female pastry chef), but she is stymied by her own clumsiness. One day, she enrolls in St. Mary Academy, a culinary school for sweets, and meets a “spirit of sweets.”
Why you would watch: If you are a fan of shoujo and if you are a interested in the Culinary arts because im sure there will probably be a few inside jokes that only you guys will get.
This is just a copy from the original which is at http://animereviewed.org while you are there you can actually see trailers for some of these anime.
Anime Reviewed Reviews Bakemonogatari Episode 8
Here is yet another one of my weekly reviews since I seem to zone out and then only do one review per week. I really need to do more reviews but I Just haven’t had the time to do so. Also I will be working on a updated Fall Anime Season Preview Guide sometime this month to prepare you for the coming anime storm heading our way. Also if you are reading this I implore you to join the forums because its sad without your presence and really would you like to see a sad forum? The answer to that should be no unless you are pure evil and if you are pure evil you should still show up because well… I got nothing… Anyways here is the link to the forums so go there if you don’t want to see the Anime Reviewed forums cry or you can go to watch it cry either way you guys should head over there and join the fun. On another news completely unrelated to forums; once I finish uploading all the anime on my massive list of Upload stuff I shall begin operation review stuff. Yes the name of the operation is Operation Review Stuff and yes I know that is the lamest name ever but I made it up in about 20 seconds. Operation Review Stuff will consist of me going in alphabetical order down the whole anime list and reviewing each series as a whole. I plan on continuing Operation Review Stuff all the way till I get to the last show however if the show isn’t finished yet I will skip it because I might as well do individual reviews on them. Currently I am the only reviewer participating in Operation Review Stuff and that mainly is because I just came up with the idea about 8 minutes ago. Alright this is probably one of the biggest introductions to a review I have written and honestly it scares me in a “why in the hell did I write all that crap?” way.

Bakemonogatari Episode 8
Description may and will most likely contain spoilers
Description
Alright in this episode of Bakemonogatari our protagonist Araragi has taken Kanbaru to Oshinos place to have him get rid of the Monkeys paw. However they learn that kanbaru isn’t suffering from the effects of a monkeys paw but she is suffering from the effects of a Rainy Devil. A Rainy Devil is apparently a low level demon that exchanges 3 wishes for your soul. Oshino also clarifies that Kanbaru wasn’t completely under the control of the Rainy Devil when she beat him to a pulp and that she herself was wanting to kill him. Oshino also explains that Kanbaru’s first wish to the Rainy Devil wasn’t to be faster but to beat up the students apparently. His proof for that second one is that the Rainy Devil would never had beaten the four kids up and would just have made Kanbaru faster. Kanbaru asks Oshino if there is anyway to get rid of the Rainy Devil which has taken over her hand but there lies the dilemma. Kanbaru has two options and those are either cut off the arm with the Rainy Devil or make a wish and have it not be granted. I think that I have given you enough of a description for now since I may or may not have spoiled way too much for you.
Audio
In this episode of Bakemonogatari the audio is just as good as the other episodes if not better than the others mainly because there is a new opening theme. The new opening is “Ambivalent World” performed by Sawashiro Miyuki which is a fairly upbeat song which I actually kinda liked. The ending theme is “Kimi no Shiranai Monogatari (君の知らない物語)” by supercell but performed by Gazelle which is the only theme so far that hasn’t changed. Kimi no Shirnai Monogatari in my opinion is the best of all the themes as its actually quite catchy when you listen to it and it isn’t one of those dreary and sad ending themes that usually show up. All in all I have to give the Audio for this episode of Bakemonogatari a 4.5 out of 5 because well I enjoyed the audio.
Visual
Wow look at this its the long awaited return of the visual section for all your visual section needs and whatever its really used for. Well since this is Bakemonogatari you will pretty much expect some sort of weird abstract visuals and guess what this episode doesnt disappoint with the unique art style. With the unique art style this show has even the most gory of scenes looks nice and pretty with a butt load of pink instead of red. I would hate to have seen the amount of gore that would have been shown if they didn’t have their abstract art to cover up the insane amounts of blood and other bad stuff that happens in this episode. I will have to give the visuals for Bakemonogatari episode 8 a 4 out of 5 because anything with such a strange art style deserves some kudos.
Plot
The plot for Bakemonogatari is another main part of watching it since the main things with Bakemonogatari are the unique Art Style and then there’s the very talky plot. Over 85% of Bakemonogatari are nothing but conversations ranging from paranormal stuff to stuff that honestly I have no clue what they were talking about. This episode in particular wasn’t as talky as the other episodes such as the last episode which was almost 95% talking with the only action being Araragi and Kanbaru walking to Oshino’s place. This episode had a fight between Araragi and the Rainy Devil which honestly had a very unexpected ending but I am hoping the Screen shots give you a feel for the epic scale of the fight. If you just looked at the Screenshots you probably noticed that they didn’t look like much of a epic battle well it wasn’t what anyone would call epic but I would say it was a very interesting one way beat down. The plot was mainly everything before the severe beating that the Rainy Devil put on him where Oshino explained a lot about what the Rainy Devil does and why Kanbaru’s arm looks the way it does. There was also a slightly somber moment before the Araragi and Rainy Devil fight where Oshino tells him what the chances for him winning were. I have to say that the plot gets a 4.5 out of 5 mainly because I actually enjoy some talky shows occasionally and this is my favorite of the group currently.
Overall
Bakemonogatari episode 8 gets a 4.5 out of 5 for the good audio, Interesting artstyle and a very intriguing plot which all in all makes Bakemonogatari a show that is worth watching. However word of warning if you don’t like the artstyle and the lack of action then you probably would not agree with my score and if that’s so I would like to hear your opinion either in the comments or in the forums. In fact starting now there will be a Discussion page on each show where you all can talk about the shows that I review and give your own score for the show.

Bleach 233
Description may and will most likely contain spoilers
Description
Alright in this episode of bleach Ichigo goes head to head against the devious Muramasa who seems to have some tricks up his sleeves to combat Ichigo. Those tricks consist of him freeing Zangetsu from Ichigo’s body and having Ichigo and Zangetsu fight while he stands on the sidelines admiring his handy work. In the fight against Zangetsu, Ichigo ends up going into his hollow mode and takes to offensive against Zangetsu and Muramasa. Thats all I am going to say because it would be very bad if I spoiled too much of the episode for you.
Audio
The audio for this episode of bleach is pretty much the same as the last few episodes which basically means the audio quality is still pretty good. The Opening is the same as it always is and im just waiting for it to change songs because honestly im getting tired of that song. The ending theme is called “Mad Surfer” performed by Kenichi Asai which has been used since episode 230. The ending unfortunately for me seems too similar to the opening which I have already begun to grow tired of. When I say similar I am saying that both songs seem like a song from the 70’s which is good for a while but grows old fairly fast. Also I am not sure if this is even correct or not but it seems almost like Zangetsu’s voice changed which is a bit disappointing if true but not too important either. The audio for Bleach 233 gets a 3.5 out of 5 mainly because the songs are starting to grow old in my opinion.

The above video is the 2oth bleach ending also known as Mad Surfer, also I am not going to write the visual section this week as there isn’t enough change to keep it this week. I know everyone out there is mourning the temporary loss of the Visuals section but it will be back when there is actually something worth writing for it.
Plot
The plot for the episode honestly didn’t progress much at all besides Zangetsu becoming a enemy which is the only really important thing that is plot related. This episode was all about the fighting as that is almost all that happened in this episode besides the slight bit of Mayuri doing some research on how the Zanpacto were able to leave the Shinigami. I am not sure if the whole Ichigo going full hollow in the fight against Zangetsu is actually plot or just more fighting without the plot so I am 100% sure that I am not sure. It does make me wonder where is this storyline actually going because it seems they are just going to have all the shinigami fight their Zanpacto mainly for their own pleasure. This episode of Bleach may not be going for much plot but at least it does service you with plenty of fighting mainly the Ichigo vs Zangetsu fight. This episode of bleach gets a 4 out of 5 since I actually enjoy a good fight but it doesnt get a 5 because it lacks plot in my opinion.
Overall
Overall I am going to give Bleach 233 a 3.5 out of 5 mainly because the not so good outweighs the good for the most part. I am just hoping that the next episodes are going to be much better than this episode even though the action was good considering the lack of plot. Also it seems I may have to do several reviews in a very short period of time since all the other reviewers are severely slacking. Well here is the episode in general so you can enjoy the action of this episode Bleach 233 Sub
Howdy Anime Reviewed readers?
I know I haven’t updated this site in a while and that’s mainly because I moved the main base of operations to the new Anime Reviewed site which isn’t having a problem with picture uploads. Yep I have been having problems uploading pictures to this site so I have been doing the review over at the other site and copy and pasting it here which honestly isn’t getting anywhere. So I will ask you guys to check out Animereviewed.org because there’s new reviewers, new reviews, and the site looks all sparkly. I will still attempt to update this site as often as possible which will still just be copy and paste reviews that are put here. I haven’t asked the new reviewers if they are willing to have their reviews posted here yet either so I am taking this one slow step at a time. If you would like to talk to the people over at the .org I am putting the chat in this message just to see if you use it or not.

Anime Reviewed Reviews Naruto Shippuuden 114
Whoa can it be a Naruto Shippuuden review!!! why yes it is I know I havent done a naruto shippuuden review for a good 3o episodes or so …. So get ready to believe it! Yes I know Naruto doesnt say that in shippuuden or anything like that but I couldnt resist the urge to say it. Before I continue with the review I have to say like I usually do that Anime Reviewed is looking for anime reviewers or article writers so if you are interested in a position email me at animereviewed@gmail.com . You can also email if you have suggestions for the site because its always nice to hear the opinions of the readers.

ANIME REVIEWED REVIEWS NARUTO SHIPPUUDEN 114
(warning the description contains spoilers so please watch the anime first or skip that section.)
Description

Alright this is probably one of the easiest descriptions possible but it contains butt loads of spoilers and I do mean butt loads so stay away if you don’t want to be spoiled. In this episode of Naruto Shippuuden Sauske kills Orochimaru and there’s a lot of flashbacks about Orochimaru’s past. What you wanted more… well too bad thats about all that happened in this episode because its basically a flashback episode.
Sound

The sound in this episode is pretty good in my opinion with some new opening and ending themes to show off the return to non-filler. Ok actually it seems I am wrong and the songs arent new and I just havent watched Naruto Shippuuden in so long that they are just new to me. The opening theme is ”Hotaru no Hikari” performed by Ikimono-Gakari used in eps 103 to present. The closing theme is ”Shinkokyuu” performed by SUPER BEAVER used ineps 103 to the present. I liked the songs alright but not my a faves so I wont deduct points or subtract any points.
The sound will get a 4/5
Visuals

The visual are also good especially since its not a filler so yay that and boo to fillers. It was also nice to see some of the people who I havent seen in a while in the flash back in a younger state. Theres not much else I can say about the visuals actually so I will now proceed to score it.
The Visuals will get a 4.5/5
Plot

The plot is the main selling point to this episode since Shippuuden was just freed from a unneccessary and unwanted filler season that served very little purpose. This episode advances the plot quite a bit as Sauske has killed Orochimaru and has now moved forward with whatever his plans are. I am going to guess it probably has something to do with killing Itachi since thats been his goal since the regular Naruto series. This episode does go more in depth to why Orochimaru wanted Sauske as a host and his reasons for imortality.
The Plot will get a 5/5 <– yep surprising considering its a flashback episode so everyone dance to decent plot.
Overall Score

Overall I actually enjoyed the episode but was dissapointed in the quality of the fight between Orchimaru and Sauske but thats just one of my minor nit picks. So I will give Naruto Shippuuden 114 a 4.5/5 mainly because it didnt screw anything up and it was a decent flashback episode showing the past of the original Naruto’s main Antagonist. I am amazed that this review is as short as it is especially since all the other reviews lately seem to be huge and take up large amounts of room.
Anime Reviewed Reviews Bleach 223
Alright guys I know its been a while since I actually reviewed any sort of anime but as I promised Anime Reviewed is coming back at full force with new reviews, new articles, and hopefully new writers. So if you think you have some talent in writing let me know because Anime Reviewed is constantly looking for new writers of almost any type. Yes we don’t mind if you just write about any thing anime related it doesn’t have to be a review just make sure its not stupid because it will be screened before its posted. There are perks for being a reviewer though because occasionally you get screener material from anime companies and some conventions will let you in for free as a member of the press.

Anime Reviewed Reviews Bleach 223

Description
(DESCRIPTION MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS SO READ IT AT YOUR OWN RISK)
Alright forgive me if I’m a small bit rusty on my reviews but here we go with the bleach 223 review only a about 5 or 6 days late. In this episode of Bleach the annoying vice captain of second division Omaeda and his captain Soi Fon take on two of Barragon’s Fraccion. The fraccion in particular are Nirgge Parduoc and Ggio Vega who seem to be Barragon’s more trusted fraccion. These two fights actually began on Episode 222 but on this episode is the shocking or not so shocking conclusions to those fights. In more details on the fights the Omaeda and Nirgge Parduoc fight was probably the stupidest of the two fights. Apparently Omaeda was holding back and towing with Nirgge for pretty much the entirety of the last episode as he takes control of the fight in this episode. Don’t think that just because Omaeda was holding back and towing with Nirgge last episode that he will go down that easily as it takes him the entirety of the episode to beat him. Oh yeah Nirgge is a elephant arrancar who lacks any special techniques or powers besides being really strong with a trunk that can grab stuff. The fight in general was also lacking in awesomeness as I didn’t like either of the two characters so I wouldn’t mind it if they both killed each other in this episode. In the other fight in the episode which was Soi Fon fighting against Ggio Vega which was a much better fight. Both Soi Fon and Ggio are close range fighters who use short blades and hand to hand techniques to fight. Before I forget Ggio is from what I assume him to be; is some sort of sabre tooth tiger or some other type feline arrancar. I actually like Ggio as he is a slightly less cocky and arrogant Grimmjow that doesn’t look nearly as cool as Grimmjow. The fight itself is mainly Ggio beating Soi fon as she for some unknown reason wont use her shikai to beat him with her patentented two hit combo. The fight isn’t bad but it could be much shorter if Soi Fon would just finish him off quickly but she “toys” I emphasise the toys because she basically gets beat up for most of the episode. Don’t worry I wont continue to spoil this for you so this is the end of the Description section for this review.
Sound

The sound quality for this episode was pretty good especially since its not a filler episode so there shouldn’t be too much reason why the sound quality would go down. The opening theme is “Shōjo S” performed Scandal which has been used since episode 215 which sounds like some weird 70’s song only Japanese. The ending theme is “Kimi wo Mamotte, Kimi wo Aishite” performed by Sambo Master which has been used as the ending theme since episode 215. Kimi wo Mamotte, Kimi wo Aishite is my favorite of the two and it reminds me of one of the Naruto themes but I’m not sure which one exactly but they sound very similar.
I have to give the sound for Bleach 223 a 3.5 out of 5 why would I give it such a low score well I didn’t really like the opening theme that much so that’s what happened to the score.
Visuals

The visuals are pretty well drawn especially compared to the last episodes extremely silly illustrations which I kinda liked oddly enough. Nothing too notable visual wise so I will go ahead and score it a 4 out of 5 because there wasn’t anything notable.
Plot

The plot for episode 223 is following the manga pretty well so I cannot give any negative scores for that however I do wonder why Soi Fon had to take so long on beating Ggio. Well its actually a good thing that the fight took at least two episodes because if it didn’t the manga would be that much closer to the anime which would not be a good thing. I do have to say the plot for this episode did run smoothly as the Espada battles are getting even closer unfortunately it looks like there’s going to be a filler season showing up soon.
The plot for Bleach 223 gets a 4.5 out of 5
Overall Score

Since I enjoyed the episode I will have to give Bleach 223 a 4 out of 5 which I do have to remind you all isn’t a bad thing because anything 3 and higher is good and below that is what you have to be careful of. Also because I am such a nice person I included the episode reviewed streaming at the end. I think I should have said that at the beginning so people would have more incentive to read the review.
Souten Kouro
I know this is two weeks later than I had intended to post this review but I had a good reason.
THIS SERIES SUCKS
I tried, I waited for additional episodes to come out so I could say it was only the first few episodes but really Souten Kouro is so terrible I can say it would have been better to just make a series based off Dynasty Warriors and not pass of this series based loosely on the Romance of the Three Kingdoms(”based loosely”, read: unrelated). The intro animation gave me the impression there would be some really epic stuff going down and instead I get the pokemon of historical anime. Maybe I was spoiled by Viper’s Creed and expected anime with action to actually have action in the series and not just the OP. The hatred I have for this series is only saved by the fact that I cannot give it a score lower than 1. I’d give it a negative five if I could. I tried, but five episodes in and I have not seen anything worthy of praise other than the horribly misleading OP. I’m not even sure I can mention the ED because of the group doing it, because having a vulgar word in your bandname makes you that much more classy right?
The OP depicted this epic sized battle in the first few seconds, and when you add in the track “909″ by Tribal Chair which happened to add to the epic feel. And then five episodes later and the most you see is Cao Cao playing sheriff. Madhouse really lost out on this. If there is a fanbase for this series I certainly cannot see eye to eye with them on this. Sorry fans, but you and I are at a loss for understanding…all three of you. And Granted there is a lot of bad anime out, it seems madhouse had to take one for the team and put this out there for all to see. Better luck next time I suppose. But right now we have the horrible Souten Kouro. I never want to see this again.
I Rokth, give this a 1 out of 5. I’m watching some Viper’s Creed, that is a series that can delever.
Anime Reviewed Reviews Animazement 09

Holy Crap is this actually a written review it has been ages since one of these showed up well guess what Anime Reviewed will be coming back to full strength soon enough. Want to know whats holding it back me being lazy and a lack of Reviewers and Article Writers so I am solving that first problem by stepping up on all the reviews and putting them in high gear. However the second problem with the Reviewers and Article Writers is still there because people seem to now want to write anymore shame on you all. If you think you have what it takes to Review anime or write any sort of anime article just ask me and I will have to see a example of your work. If your work is pretty good you can become a member of the Anime Reviewed team which entitles you to be a member of the press sorta …. dont give me that look because it depends on what type of stuff you write with what you are able to do. If you are interested in Submitting any of your work just email it to animereviewed@gmail.com and I will contact you back if you are accepted. Also direct all questions you have to animereviewed@gmail.com because we will answer all your questions as soon as I read them. Ok I have written enough pointless prattle so I think its time to get the review started so introducing the first written review in a while.
Anime Reviewed Reviews Animazement 09

Hello anime reviewed faithful … yeah I know most of the faithful visitors of Anime Reviewed left the site and never looked back because of the lack of updates but there was reasons for the lack of updates. The main reason is I visited my first Anime Convention and yes I neglected the site because of my own selfish reasons well guess what its not 100% selfish because I will tell you whether or not you should visit Animazement 2010 or not.
Panels

There were all sorts of panels at Animazement 09 from fan panels to panels that were hosted by some very popular voice actors. Unfortunately I couldnt make it to all of the panels because some of them happened to have occurred at the same time and some were taking place during the time I was in the dealer room. But the panels I went to were very educational and funny at the same time so if you want to learn something useful and have fun at the same time.
Panels include
- Japanese Culture
- Learn to speak and write Japanese
- Karate,kendo and Iaido demonstrations
- And tons of Guest Panels
- And even more Fan panels than I would like to list but wont.
I attended a few of these and all of the panels that I went to was supperb except for a slight problem with kyle hebert and Spike Spencers equipment didnt arive at the convention for one of their panels so they did some unique improv.
I have to give the Panels for Animazement 09 a 4 out of 5 … why a 4 because i missed some and i cant score them.
Entertainment

There was more than just Panels at Animazement there was Cosplay Competitions, Concerts, video/game rooms, Dance/Rave, and all sorts of strange things that occur in the lobbies. If you thought that Animazement was nothing but panels well you are dead wrong there’s all sorts of stuff to pass the time. While at Animazement 09 there was a Uchuu Sentai NOIZ concert which was very unique and I actually enjoyed it quite a bit. Infact the NOIZ concert was the first one they did on the east coast so it was actually pretty special so I guess you could say it was monumental sorta. The Cosplay Competetion wasnt that nearly as good though but it wasnt terrible so it could have been much much better than what it was. The Video rooms were a nice way to watch some anime that you have never seen before and the only problem with them is sometimes they arent playing something your interested in. The dance or rave thing would have been better if I had any dancing skills what so ever but I dont so I kinda just watched some people do some strange things. The strange things in the lobbies i was talking about is cosplay red rover and other little games that the cosplayers played in the lobby.
I have to give Animazement’s entertainment section a 5/5 because I enjoyed it.
Guests
The Guests Were:
- Kyle Hebert
- Spike Spencer
- Trish Ledoux
- Christina Vee
- Caitlin Glass
- Kara Edwards
- Scott Houle
- Toshifumi Yoshida
- Ryuusei Nakao
- Jun Shishido
- Yusuke Igarashi
- Noiz
They had some Guest drop out due to the bird flu scare but some surprise guests took their place which was very good because otherwise half the guests listed wouldnt be here.
I have to give the guest lineup a 5/5 I suppose because there’s no reason why not. Some of my favorite voice actors appeared so I cant give it a bad score. The problem is I missed some of them so yeah that sucks so next time I need to get Chritina Vee, Caitlin Glass, and everyone elses Autograph. Yes I did get me some Autographs because I am cool like that.
OVERALL
Alright overall I have to give Animazement 09 a 5/5 because it was genuinely fun and its amazing to watch the cosplayers wondering the streets of Raleigh. I will also have to say that If you get a chance you will need nay I command you to go to Animazement 13 which will be May 28-30, 2010 in Raleigh NC. Oh yeah I most likely will be heading back to Animazement because this time I will be much more prepared and I will need a helper since its so huge.

Anime Reviewed with a new look?
Yep sometime in the near future I would like to change the way Anime Reviewed Looks and I also want to change its layout but before that I would need to move to a decent host.
Also I would like to say if anyone would like to help Anime Reviewed with “Tech Support” just email me at katimusha@gmail.com and I will discuss things with you further. Because I will have trouble doing this all by my lonesome because i suck at the technical stuff.
Anime Reviewed on Twitter?

I decided to go along with the cool kids and make a twitter account so now you can read what the anime reviewed staff are up to.. or just what anime reviewed itself is up to.
Anime Reviewed - http://twitter.com/AnimeReviewed
Katimusha - http://twitter.com/katimusha
So if you have a twitter account and you would like to know when a certain review is going to show up on the site make sure to follow us on twitter. Also If or when any of the other reviewers wants to create a twitter account and wants it to be public it would probably be added to the list.
