Rock Musical Bleach The All and Live Bankai Show Code 002
ok, so it’s not the anime series itself, but the two new bleach musicals “The All” and “Live Bankai Show Code 002 are up online to view!! for those who don’t know, Bleach Rock Musical is a take on the bleach series done live action with musical numbers, that covers from beginning to end the Soul Society Rescue Arc.
Them throwing together a full musical to cover the entire story when they had done that piece by piece already, worried me, but watching it proved me wrong. A brand new stage gave the entire show a new look, the actors behind the characters of the Gotei 13, and Ichigo and Rukia really stepped up and the musical felt new, the acting has improved 10 fold and the singing only got better.
The live bankai show was also very amazing, the new songs like Ichigo’s “Where is my body?” and the Lt.’s song and the shinigami women’s association song were great! with funny moments with the big bad three doing their own thing, Momo fangirling over Aizen’s new look and if you watch the backstage portion, Renji asking Ichigo to imitate a few of the captains, and each character being introduced to each other. Renji and Aizen playing keep away with the glowstick in a re-enactment of the Sokyoku Hill scene, and Ichigo and Momo realizing they are peach and strawberry.
with performances so entertaining and great music, it’s truly sad to see such an amazing musical performance of this series end. This one definitely gets a 10/10 from me. Below are video links to check out these new performances! hope you enjoy!
Soul Eater: a Soulicious Review
Hey everyone I am back but this time I am back to doing regular old anime reviews for a while because I don’t feel like doing any dvd reviews at the moment. I decided to review something called Soul Eater and it turns out I found it and this is the review of that anime. Also remember to check out the forums and make sure to register there so you can discuss this review and others. You could check out my myspace profile where I sometimes have some myspace only reviews but this is just me advertising my myspace page so you don’t have to go there. You do have to check out the forums that’s not optional but I cant make you go but its your choice whether you go there or not. Well I guess I am going to go ahead and get on with the description of this anime. So instead of describing the series I will do one better not describe it and show you some pictures ohh pictures.
The story takes place at the Shinigami Weaponry Vocational School, a school for creating Death Scythes for Gods of Death. The human and demon students seek the seeds of the souls of 99 humans and the soul of one witch, all of which are needed to turn just one of the demon students into a Death Scythe. One of the human students, Maka Alban, is paired with Soul Eater, a boyish demon whose true form is a scythe, as they collect the needed souls to transform Soul Eater. (Source: ANN) oh good old ANN you tend to give some useful information but this is kinda lacking dont you think I mean almost everything else get more than this as a description. Well this is a vague description of the anime so it barely tells you much about the series but then again this is one weird confusing series so I cant tell you a better description.
This is it time for the actual review of this messed up mixed up series where everything looks like someone was on some sort of drug while they created this anime. I am not saying that in a bad way since you might actually start to get used to the odd surreal way the anime is made in. I am one of those people who actually begun to get used to the oddness of this I mean look at the sun and moon what in the blazes is up with that seriously. Ok so I am not completely over all of the surreal look of the series but its still got action and comedy which is a plus in my book. The show is quite funny well certain characters are funny while other characters seem slightly retarded I am looking at you black star I swear you are retarded just a little. Dont worry Black Star does make me laugh but the character that makes me laugh the most is Maka’s Dad whose name is Spirit cracks me up I dont know why but he entertains me to no end. Also there is Death the Kid who has a horrible name but his love of things being absolutely symmetrical is pretty entertaining as well. Then again I take it back Black Star does have his moments good thing he isnt a Lambo or I will be pretty sad but at least he can fight. Oh yeah the action of this series at times can be odd but all in all its got some pretty good action to it. The action is some sort of weird combination of Bleach, D Gray-Man and I have no idea what they combined with those to make the weird fights that this series has. Ok lets move on to the music and sound which I actually enjoyed the music of this anime. The opening theme sounds like something you would hear on D Gray-Man but the name of the song is”Resonance” performed by T.M.Revolution. The closing theme actually sounds like a naruto opening theme in some ways but its called “I Wanna Be” performed by STANCE PUNKS. The first closing theme ends after only 13 episodes and is replaced with the more upbeat “Style” performed by Kana Nishino. In this series the closest thing to a truly anoying character besides Black Star would be Excalaber yes the king Author sword and yes he is annoying in certain ways but I kind of like him odd huh. Well I give Soul Eater a 4 1/2 out of 5 and yes I am warning you that you will be confused or something close to it by this series I still am but its actually pretty darn good so watch it for yourselves and you will see what I mean. Okay this review is pretty wordy so that is kinda a bad thing because I know how you guys are with too many words so I appologise for making this way too long and boring. Well for reading this far I think you guys deserve something special and that is the opening and endings for this series. What you guys dont think thats special enough for you well fine I will give you my newest amv even if you dont want it muhahahahaha enjoy the evil laugh bask in its evilness.

FullMetal Alchemist The movie Conqueror of shamballa:Shamwhatta?
Hey people here this is my second dvd review and I know Finn is going to hate me for it and I know its a little late ok really late but here I am reviewing Fullmetal Alchemist The Movie Conqueror of Shamballa. Ok I hate that name I think im just going to call it the FMA Movie tada it is now twice as short as it was before awesome huh. I will be going back to non dvd reviews for the next review which will be on Soul Eater man my schedule is busy. Also something you guys really should do is go to the forums and Tell us how we did on the review or any review actually. I know its amazing but I dont feel like typing as much as I usually do so here we go starting thing off with the FMA Movie Description straight from the back of the dvd case.
ON THEIR PROMISED DAY, THE WORLD MOVES… It is 1923 in munich. Two years have passed since Edward Elric’s sacrifice ripped him out of his world and into ours, separating him from his younger brother, Alphonse. In that time, Ed’s continued research into rocketry has allied him with Alphons Heiderich, a fellow researcher who oddly resembles Ed’s brother. Progress has been slow, however, and Ed has become discouraged. But when he saves a quiet Gypsy girl with the power to read minds, Ed is quickly pulled into a plot by the Thule Society and the burgeoning Nazi Party that could drag both worlds into a terrible war. Back in his own world, Al has been unlocking new secrets of alchemy and gaining incredible powers, all in the hopes of finding ed. Battling the occult, ideological extremists, and monstrous Homunculi lurking in the shadows, can the brothers find a way to reunite without causing chaos and bloodshed? Where’s my snazzy remark you say well its not there as you can see where it could be is a mystey that only alchemy could help find. But if you havent seen the series and you just read that you would probably be so confused that you would be speechless. I suggest you watch the series before you watch this movie but it wont hurt you if you havent seen the series but theres thing you might like to know which can only be found out if you watch the series. Well now for the next part of the review which is where I talk about stuff and other stuff.
Story
Ok this is where I talk about the story which I actually liked but if I had not watched the series I would be clueless on what the hell the movie is about. Then again any movie where nazi’s attack an alternate earth using blimps has either a retarded story or a brilliant story. This is neither retarded or brilliant however it is more or less ok but definately not on miyazaki’s level of story telling. The story does educate you on some history however which was something that I found pretty interesting indeed. I always wondered about some Hitler history and the story filled me in on some very cool stuff but I am not going to go into any detail. Also I liked the action in the movie it has nothing really to do with story but the more action the movie has the better it gets in my opinion unless its something thats not supposed to have a lot of action. The story starts with one of Ed and Al’s little adventures where they encounter a scientist like villian who has discovered Uranium. After the brief flashback It goes to Ed in our world where he encounters the Gypsy girl and everything goes to hell from there. I dont plan on going to far into detail so I dont spoil thing but this whole movie is a spoiler for the series so you have been warned again. Overall I actually liked the story quite a bit but not enough for it to get the coveted 5 so it is going to get a 4/5
Sound
The sound quality of this movie is really good I thought and they even have quite a assortment of Music Tracks that are really good. The voice acters are the same as in the anime series and Vic Mignogna is in it so that has to add some points to the score. Both the Opening and Ending is performed by one of my favorite J Rock bands L’Arc~en~Ciel which is also a plus in my books. The opening is called “Link” and the ending is called “Lost Heaven” My favorite of the two is “Lost Heaven” however. I give the Sound in the FMA movie a 4.5/5 because it works well in the movie and I also like the opening and ending themes.
DVD EXTRAS
Unlike in Ragnarok funimation actually has quite a few extras in this dvd including “The Making Of Fullmetal Alchemist - The Movie” a 40 minute documentary with Director Seiji Mizushima and Staff. I havent watched the documentary because I usually get bored to tears by documentaries but isnt it great to have something so boring at your fingertips. It also has the Japanese Theatrical and TV Trailers for the movie because you just have to see trailers for the movie you are either watching or already watched yay funimation. Production Art Image Gallery for those of you who like to see the production art for the anime you are watching also boring but for some its exciting I guess. Also like in any funimation production it has Trailers which I still dont consider an extra but I do watch trailers because well I dont know why I watch them. I give the extras for the FMA movie a 4/5 because it offers quite a bit of extras but alot of those extras are fairly boring but cool to have.
OVERALL
overall I give the Fullmetal Alchemist Movie: Conquer of Shambala a wait for it a 4/5 because the movie all by itself as a stand alone is pretty confusing and its more for die hard Fullmetal Alchemist fans who are caught up with the series. However if you dont mind that and you like the Fullmetal Alchemist anime you should watch it because its not that bad of a movie. Also since theres going to be another Fullmetal Alchemist series you might as well watch the other series to compare the new one to the old one and complain like everyone does. Okay not everyone complains only 93.4 percent of the population are complainers who bitch and moan constantly but hopefully you are of that 6.6 percent of cool people. Now for that really sexy recap that I know everyone enjoys to read because its so sexy or is it???

Ragnarok The Animation First Quest: First DVD Review
Hello people I think its time for something different so thats why I decided to do a dvd because nobody has done a dvd review yet. The only problem with doing a dvd review is I have to change the way I grade now dont everyone start sending me hate mail since its still going to be in my usual ways. The grading scale for dvd’s will have 3 categories Story, Sound, and DVD extras. I might add another category to my grading scale but for now its going to stay at 3. Also while I am talking about nothing you should check out my myspace page while you are there you can check out my older reviews before I came here and if the site is down check there for my updates. Well Lets get to the description and stuff because lucky for you I dont have much to talk about today so onward.
A great evil is sweeping over the realm, an evil that the young swordsman Roan and his life-long companion, the acolyte Yufa, must face head on! For these two travel toward their destiny, from the highest towers to the depths of the underwold, through forest and desert alike! With an ever-growing cast of felow heroes, fate will grasp these travelers by their very souls and propel the band of skilled adventurers towards a noble end. Or ignoble, if they don’t watch their step! Monsters are afoot and the way rife with danger and magic, the path forward may be unclear… But where will is strong, there is a way! Lessons wait in the depths of darkness, and good must preveil. The journey starts now!
Wow that was a interesting description and this time it came straight from the back of the dvd box which is where all my dvd descriptions will come from.Well theres not much I can say about the description besides the fact it sounds a little cliche but lets not worry about how cliche it is and continue with the review.
STORY
Well the story is I guess a little interesting if not slightly dull where there is a story the actual story really starts after about 4 episodes I guess its a good thing theres 9 episodes. I bet you are wondering why theres 9 episodes well I dont know exactly why decided to do that but it is nine episodes on two discs which actually surprised me. I actually had some high hopes when in the first scene of the anime a band of travellers get killed by orcs or something like that not too sure but that got my attention. However after the first scene the story got lame when it introduced the main characters Roan and Yufa. Roan is almost a waste of space half of the time and Yufa is almost as useless but she is more important than Roan because she can heal yay. I know it seems like I dont like the main characters but its true I dont like the main characters they kinda suck but at least they are usefull for one thing. COMEDIC RELIEF yep that takes up 2/3 of the dvd which has its good side and its bad side at least this show doesnt screw it up too much. I wasnt a fan of the story not enough action and the comedy didnt really hit its mark with me but it wasnt a bad show still watchable but not awesome. I give Ragnarok the animation first quest a 3/5 in the story department I know it sounds low but its not a bad thing to have a three since its still in the recommended level to be watched.
SOUND
Okay I might have been a little harsh on the story part but the sound I actually liked the sound since it had some very interesting Background music which was pretty cool sorta. It actually had some background music that fits the mood that its been placed like a video game speaking of video games here a bit of info Ragnorok the animation is based on the MMORPG called Ragnorok cool huh. Enough with the trivia but heres the skinny on the Opening Theme it is “We are the Stars” by Maimi Yamasaki. The Ending theme is “Alive” by Maimi Yamasaki which both song I thought fit well enough into the mix of things. Also the voices are pretty good in my opinion so theres not much to say. I give the Sound part of Ragnarok the animation a 4.5/5 because I like some decent BGMs dont you just love video game lingo.
DVD EXTRAS
Alright I know funimation has a habit of not giving many dvd extras but this right here is down right pathetic just trailers. Whats even worse is one of those trailers isnt much of a trailer at all it was just one picture with some words for longer than needed. Maybe in the next dvd there might actually be some extras but this one is lacking big time so if you are wanting dvd extras this isnt for you. I give the nonexistant dvd extras a 1/5 sorry about that but Trailers arent really a dvd extra hopefully funimation will start putting better extras on their dvds.
OVERALL
Overall I give Ragnarok The Animation First Quest a 3/5 because theres some problems that exist in the story and there are no dvd extras which brings down the score.

Yes your eyes arent decieving we decided to change the theme of our site because I guess you could say we were getting tired of seeing faye constantly and you guys probably were thinking the same. So we decided to go with the cute cuddly peach colored abomination which looks like card captors or something similar I dont know anymore. We might just change how it looks but we are currently looking for something 100% badass and not so cute and cudly but if you guys like it I guess we might keep it for a while. You might notice not much has changed and thats true nothing really changed except the sidebar is on the other side of the page but besides that nothing new. Also we are still looking for volunteers anyone interested let us know come on I know someone wants to be slaves to the machine I mean volunteers. Just as the title says this is a special birthday post from Trey yep today is my birthday so I thought that I should let you know we have some surprises in store for you in the coming weeks. Yes I know that was extrodinairly vague but guess what too bad you dont get to know what these suprises are muhahahaha <-*Evil Laugh*. Heres where you guys get to decide a few things yes you the people who are reading this right now get to decide well maybe. Hey guys its me Trey again reviewing another anime this time its Katekyo Hitman Reborn so I know its been a while since I introduced myself but since we have some new visitors since then here I am Introducing myself again. Here is the part where I just talk about random stuff before I even begin the review so if you don’t want to read what I am saying you can skip this part and go to the next part. Well let me say thanks for visiting the site for all you people who are repeat visitors and if you don’t plan on coming back we update at least once a week so in other words make sure to check the site as often as you can. Well this is the part where I go to the next part which is the description of the anime that I am reviewing since it helps I think but I could be wrong… ok well onward.
A baby hitman named Reborn, who is the Vongola family’s #1 hitman of the mafia ventures to Japan where he meets a boy named Tsuna who has no determination in life. Reborn becomes Tsuna’s “tutor”, while he attempts to train him to be the next boss of the Vongola family. Reborn also possesses a special bullet called the ‘Dying Will’ bullet, that is a specialty of the Vongola family. This bullet will revive you from death if you have any regrets when dying. When the bullet revives you, it gives you the determination to do what needs to be done. Source - ANN. Yep from ANN like usual but its been a while since I seen it in my review so you could say I missed it yes plagiarism is bad kids so do your homework or cheat off of a reliable source. Ok now its off to the part where most of you guys probably went straight to so here we go … ok that was lame but its fine. Oh look pretty pictures are next wait that’s not the part you guys skipped to well the review is under the pictures in case you guys get lost. Sorry we have a new host that doesnt like pictures so you have to deal with only one picture sorry guys.
Hey its time for the review part of the review wow that seems slightly retarded when I think about it next time I wont introduce the review that way maybe. Ok I wasnt too thrilled with this when I first watched it I was like whats with the baby and wheres the action. I also wondered why do I have to keep seeing tsuna go into his boxers everytime he gets hit with a dying will bullet. Well the action only appears at the end of the second season and that when things actually start to get good in a non comedy stand point. But if you like comedy a good half the series is all comedy and 1/5 of that involves Lambo probably. I personally hate Lambo he is the most annoying of all the characters that I have seen in quite a while. The comedy in this series is entertaining at times and also at times it seems quite retarded anything retarded seems to have Lambo involved somehow “Stupid Cow”. The closest thing to this series would be nothing really its seems like a cross between Naruto, Bleach,and some other random anime. Remember kids this is my own personal opinion which isn’t always right so down hurt me too much. Okay sad thing is once I got about 20 episodes in I started to like it because it actually started to get less comedic with the introduction of a bad guy. Also for the most part the character design is pretty good except for a few 5 year olds that look odd compared to the other characters. Well I am going to have to say I enjoyed what I seen except for some odd humor and stuff so overall I give Katekyo Hitman Reborn a 4/5. If you like bleach and stuff you might want to check it out but if you are in it for the action the first season will be torture. Well it looks like its time to go and sorry if this review took too long to come out guys been slightly busy playing video games like Soul Caliber 4 but Remember to let me know what you guys want me to review next time. Since theres no pictures a special present the Second and yes I know its not in order so just deal with it.
Mushishi is not about entomology.
Mushishi aren’t, as the name could suggest, entomologists. They are more akin to paranormal investigators. Mushi, which can be translated to mean insect, are ephemeral creatures that come in all shapes and sizes. They fit into a variety of niches, but can not normally be seen by the human eye. Very few people can detect the presence of mushi even though we are constantly surrounded by them. Some who can see and understand these creatures become mushishi, and investigate the unusual circumstances in which mushi and humans interact. The main, and only important character, is a mushishi named Ginko. Ginko has one green eye and shock white hair resulting from being attacked by a monstrous mushi when he was young. Ginko doesn’t just see mushi rather he is a mushi magnet so he cant linger in one area for too long or he may bring calamity to those around him. Therefore Ginko travels about Japan treating people who are suffering from contact with mushi. Often mushi are parasitic by nature making Ginko more of a doctor than a researcher. He collects various mushi related items and sells them to collectors to fund his travels. This anime seems to take place before Japan was open to European influence, but nobody ever mentions that Ginko is dressed rather conspicuously compared to his surroundings.
Mushishi is not a very exciting anime. There is no villain, no over arching plot line, and little comedy in this anime. The music is soothing rather than dramatic, and the backgrounds of rural Japan paint a world of fantastic green. The settings differ only little from remote island fishing villages to backwoods mountain hamlets. The two things that link each episode is the enigmatic wanderer Ginko, and the supernatural creatures he is plagued by. If all you look for in anime is action packed fight sequences or few laughs then you probably will get very bored by watching this one.
Paranoia Agent: The Strange Tale of Lil Slugger
This unusual anime starts out simply enough. Tsukiko Sagi is the timid creator of Maromi, a canine version of Hello Kitty, and she is feeling pressured by everyone around her. On her way home from a very stressful day of work she is assaulted by a baseball bat wielding in-line skater. The police investigate, but it would seem a random beating with no real motivation. That is until more victims start piling up. The media name the attacker Lil’ Slugger, and the more people he attacks the more mysterious and powerful he gets. Detectives Ikari and Maniwa are called to investigate the case, but things don’t add up. None of the victims had anything in common except that they were all forced into unfortunate and stressful situations that they had no escape from. Even stranger was that after getting severely beaten by Lil Slugger all the victims are noticeably happier as a result. The investigation starts to take a supernatural turn and the mystery of the wraith like Lil Slugger deepens. I cant decide whether I like this anime or not. At the very least I found it to be different from the normal run of the mill hero and villain or highschool drama anime that flood the market.
Lil Sluggers character can be pretty creepy at times, and the over all feel of the anime is very psychological. The episodes tend to vary with some being creepy and others pretty amusing, but the climax is something that can hardly be described. Opinions on this anime tend to vary, even my own does, but there is a certain almost schizophrenic feel to Paranoia Agent that keeps me interested.
