Gintama: the Review

Hey guys and girls and dare I say it guy/girl things that are reading this review of the ever popular Gintama which I hope you enjoy this review. Also the forums are a work in progress so things are going along rather slowly. We have been having some slight server issues over the last few days but everything is fine now so dont worry you will get your anime review fix. Also there should be some other reviews showing up somewhere somtime or another so keep you eyes open and no they wont be my reviews but they will do probably. I guess I should just get through this as fast as possible so this will be a very short review.

Here goes the discription or whatever you want to call it Sakata Gintoki is a samurai living in an era when samurais are no longer needed. To add to his troubles, oppressive aliens have moved in to invade. Gintoki lives with Kagura and Shinpachi, taking on odd jobs to make the world a better place…and to pay their rent. (Source: ANN). Ok I know that the show sounds weird but guess what it is weird becasue aliens and samurai are a weird combination like the odd couple only not.

Okay this show is odd and boy do I mean odd I dont think I seen this much oddity in one anime wait I might have but this is up there on the list of odd stuff. It is actually funny just how much gintama is an advertisement for jump and bleach since Gintoki mentions wishing he had a bankai and etc. He is also has a addiction to reading jump so when it comes out he has to go to a book store and pick up the latest issue. Theres very little action but I guess the random stupidity makes up for the lack of action so I guess its even there. The main character Gintoki is not your average hero he doesnt go and save people to be nice he just happens to stumble into it most of the time. Overall I give Gintama a 4 out of 5 becaue of the comedy that is in the series and thats about it especially the I wish I had a bankai line it made me laugh a bit. Overall it depends on whos watching it if you would like it or not since you might not like the way the series does things. I dont feel like putting a link to the first episode to Gintama in this review maybe I might change my mind  and maybe I wont depends on if you guys want it.
